Totally Wire Free!

Well, today is the day that I’ve been looking forward to but dreading all at the same time! We got the call that Mallory no longer needs her monitor….not that she’s ever had any major episodes anyway, but especially since we got the OK to just use it at night when she’s sleeping, it’s been less of a pain and more of a nice reassurance.

We have the Angel Care Monitor that also works on the same premise to notify you if they aren’t breathing after a certain amount of time but that will require us to move her to her big crib instead of the infant sleeper we have her in now and I’m not sure I’m ready for that transition…..I’d prefer to keep her in the room with us at night until she is 6 months old.

Perhaps the crib can move to the bedroom…..I’m sure Ben will love making that move!

I finished up Week 2 of my Couch 2 5K training and will be working on cramming in all of Week 3 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning. Oh well, as long as I get it all in that’s all that matters!

Looks like we will be headed to Sikeston on Saturday so Mallory can be baptized in a small private ceremony at Susan and Bud’s house. I’m still not keen on getting her in and around large crowds and the doctors actually say church is the worst because everyone wants to come up and touch them and all those people crammed into one room is just a germ haven. So, it will probably be next spring before Mallory makes her way to church, they like you to give preemies a year, and then it should be better and her immune system more tolerant.

So, don’t be overly offended if I request that you use hand sanitizer prior to touching her or if I am running behind you spraying Lysol, welcome to my world. Thankfully summertime is typically less “germy” than the winter months, so I’ll be even more adamant then on the hand sanitizer and Lysol.

Here’s a few more pictures of Mallory!
