Baby Girl Walking

I think it is safe to say we have a full time walker now.

There is very minimal crawling and now that she knows she can walk, she wants to walk all the time. Preferably in the grass outside. She is nuts about being outside.

Here's a picture of her screaming at the door because she wants to go outside.

This week Mrs Carole and her husband were off to Florida for fall break so me and Miss Bean tried to make it at home for the week and try to throw a little work in the mix as well. Lets just say I will be more than happy when our normal routine is happening again next week!

Wednesday was her 18 month appointment at the Dr. I wrote a quicky post about it but forgot to actualy post it on Facebook, but you can read about the details HERE. All is well, she's doing great!

Friday afternoon late we went to Trunnell's just down the road to the pumpkin patch. She's still a little to small for most of their activities, but we did get on the wagon and go down to the field and "pick" our pumpkin. I found the "pick your pumpkin patch" funny because it was quite obvious that they choose the pumpkins that are the "free with your paid hayride size" and then just plop them down at the pumpkin plant. There was no actual picking of the pumpkins from the plant, just pick up you pumpkin. That kinda bothered me, but whatever.

We took some great pictures, here's some of those.

Saturday we decided to go to Evansville. It was pretty much a shopping fail. I think I've convinced Ben that next time I want to go shopping, he and Mallory will just stay at home. We went to eat at a Mexican place. Fail. She did not want to sit in her high chair, she wanted to walk. So Ben and I took turns walking her around the resturaunt while the other ate. It was fairly miserable.

We then decided we needed one of those backpack leashes for her since walking is her new favorite thing. We made a quick run into BabiesRUs and came out with a cute Teddy Bear one.

Next stop, Target. Here wasn't too bad, Ben and Bean walked around with the leash while I looked at what I needed too. No meltdowns until we left and we wouldn't let her walk in the parking lot.

Then on to the mall. We dedided her and Ben would get ice cream and go to the kid play area and walk around while I was on my mission for jeans for me and an outfit for her to wear in our family pictures next weekend.

I found her an outfit and then I ran into the Buckle to look for jeans and was trying them on when she had another meltdown in front of the store so her and Ben went back to the car, pretty sure she was kicking and screaming the entire time and by the time I got there he swore he was never taking her anywhere until she was 12 and it was times like this that he now understood why parents drink, lol!

He's not as used to her fits as I am, but still, it can be stressful. So home we went with one quick stop at the butcher shop for one mighty fine rib eye steak that Ben later cooked to perfection. Yummy dinner!

Sunday after church and nap (M not me) and when Ben finished they yard, we went to Reid's Orchard Apple Festival. I've always heard of it but never been. Nothing overly exciting. We ate some food with apples in it, walked Bean around and then left. Been there done that, no reason I see to ever go back at this point.

So, overall a good weekend, just ready for our normal routine next week again!!
