Santa Baby!

Elkton had a Santa shindig this past Friday. Free pictures with Santa, Christmas stories, cookies, free horse drawn carriage rides around town, it was really pretty great!

Mallory did about what I figured, no crying but cut those eyes at the guy in the red suit!

The waiting to see Santa was the worst. Me, Mom, Dad and Sue went with me and it took all of us to corral her in line!

By the time we were finished with pictures I was so spent from trying to keep up with her I was not in the mood for horse drawn carriage rides. Maybe next year!

In new "beanisims" this girl just never ceases to amaze me. She may not be talking yet but she knows exactly what you are saying.

Friday night she was standing there and I was telling mom that she knows how to blow her nose. So she went and got a Kleenex and then proceeded to show us how she blows her nose. She knows what we are saying!

In our bedroom we have a spare tv sitting in one corner, long story, and do I hooked up the one DVD player we have that still works up to it. I had it for Elmo videos in the morning. Don't judge : ).

Apparently she has been paying attention because Ben and I watched her turn on the TV herself tonight and then hit play on the DVD player.

She's smart, no doubt about that!

She just has to see you do something once and then she can do it too!

I guess I just wasn't quite ready for this at 20 months but perhaps it's normal, but I think she's just smart!

Of course she's smart! She has learned from some of the best at The Empty Nest (now that could be good and bad...LOL!). Children that are well-rounded socially like Mallory, are smarter. They are just more tuned into the real world and what is going on around them. Thank You so much for giving me the privilege to care for your little Bean. I will miss you all very much. Thank goodness for your blog and FB page...I'll be able to stay in touch so much easier than the "old school" days when you had to sit down and take the time to write a letter. Just 2 more days...can't believe it!! BooHoo!!
