Well thankfully we have gotten past the first hurdle in this ordeal, and that was 72 hours. They were concered that typically if you are going to get an infection to force labor, it is most probable to happen in the first 72 hours, so we've gotten past that now.
I guess the next hurdle will be 2 weeks from this past Friday. Apparently typically if you get past 2 weeks without going into labor they can typically get you to the 32-34 week period, so that's good!
If you have any great ideas on how to pass time, just let me know. Thankfully I can get about 4-6 hours of work in every day, so that helps a lot!
As for the daily routine, they plug me up to the baby heart monitor in the early am and then before bed and leave it on for about an hour to see how she is doing. I'm done with the IV antiobiotics, they've taken the IV out totally and now I just take an antibiotic pill every 6 hours. They come in 3 times or so a day to check my temp and blood pressure to make sure I'm not getting a fever which would indicate infection.
So, I can take a shower and get up to go to the bathroom, but that's about all the moving around out of the bed they want me to do for now.
Thankfully Mallory is moving around like a little wiggle worm and we both are doing fine. They will come in and do an ultrasound 2 or 3 times a week, so I'll probably have another today or tomorrow.
So, so far so good!!
