My conversation this AM with Dr. How, I asked her to talk to me a little bit about what to expect with this induction. I've read some things online, but thought asking the Dr would probably be best....her answer...well, 60% of those who are induced will deliver within 24 hours, the other 40% will take a day or TWO!
That's where I get this whole cracking the vault analogy, how long will it take to figure out the combination so she can come out! Guess we will hope for a good bank robber!
Also, since they can't "look" to see if I've progressed any at all because of fear of infection, we can't determine if the vault is locked tight or cracked until the day they start the induction. Great. Obviously if it's slightly opened, it will typically move along faster, unless the robber is really stupid.
I'm hoping with these contractions that they are picking up, that I can't yet feel, is a sign that some progress has been made, but who knows.
Sorry if this is too much for some of you, but welcome to the world of having babies. Let's just hope the drugs work quick and the epidural is euphoric!
Dad was up yesterday, so off to McD's for ice cream and then we went up to the top floor of the parking garage, which is open up top, so we got to enjoy some of the great weather!
Mom came up a little before lunch today and we went off to the cafeteria for lunch outside. I figured George needed some fresh air too, so we took him off to the cafeteria. Yes, I'm sure I got some weird looks for taking photos of a gnome in a scarf around the place, but who cares!
So here's George sitting on the lunch table:
And George inspecting the planters on the rail by the cafeteria:
And some of the lovely trees that are in bloom across the street!
Ben will head up here tomorrow and mom is staying the night tonight, one more time on the crappy chair bed!
Thankfully come Sunday we will have made it to 33 weeks and as of tomorrow we will be in the single digits, 9 days left until the induction! I think all the Dr's and nurses are amazed I've made it this long....nurses that haven't been here for a week or so are like, you're still here? Yep, mind over matter people, make it happen!! That's what I'm focused on, set to goal and go get it! The first day we arrived at the hospital and I determined when the first Monday of the 34th week was, we wrote Mallory's name on the dry erase board and put April 12. Set the goal, see the goal, reach the goal!
I hope everyone has a great Easter!

If there ever was someone who set goals, worked towards them with determination, and reached them it was you! Just 9 more days!
That's so true! I've never meet a more determined person!!
It totally stinks that u have to spend Easter in the hospital. But it'll be worth it! Hoping destiny will be off the weekend after Mallory arrives so she can come up there with me. I figured by the weekend you'd be up to visitors. Can't wait to see you!
Hope y'all have a very blessed Easter!
