Happy Anniversary X 2

I don't know if everyone knows this or not, but this weekend we celebrate 2 anniversaries!

39 years ago today, Mom and Dad got married in Elkton.  It was a Friday night in 1972.

Due West across the Mississippi River 39 years ago Tomorrow, it was a Saturday night in 1972, and Bud and Susan were getting married!

I'm not sure if it's more odd these days that our parents got married on the same weekend of the same year in 1972, or that they are both still married, 39 years later!

At least we both had good role models in marriage, what to expect and how to make it work.

There's other funny things that seem to overlap or be funny coincidences in our lives as we grew up, 3 hours away from each other.

I've still always found it funny that my birthday is 6-16 and his is 7-17 the year before.  I guess I have a thing for numbers, which is part of the reason I picked 4-12-03 for our wedding.....4X3=12.  It just works.  It just seems "right."

We were both at the 1982 World's Fair in Knoxville, TN.  I don't know that I've ever met anyone else who went to that.....no sure I've asked, but I just thought that was interesting too.

When I put together our photo album for our wedding of pictures of us as a kid, it was hilarious how many over lapping type pictures we had.

There I was with my first fish......and Ben and his first fish.....and deer.....and turkey.  Ok, so I stopped at fish, but you get the picture.

We both had our toy tractors, albeit mine were primarily green and his were red, but we had tractors.

Seems like we both had pictures of us in our cute little santa pj's when were were like 2.

We were both the oldest of 2.  Both of our first vehicles were Chevy S-10's and of course we both ended up at Murray, majoring in Agriculture.  Although we didn't actually meet in our ag classes, but still, we have that whole "ag" connection.

Then of course there's Tucker......who was born ON our Wedding day, 4-12-03, how bizarre is that??  And then we were oh so close to having Mallory on our Anniversary too, they were going to induce me on 4-12-10 if she hadn't shown up on her own by then.

Mallory opted not to participate in the 4-12 excitement and have her own day on 4-5-10.

So, I guess all that just goes back to one of those things that seems like in was "mint" to be, as I so cheeseily put on the tags of our wedding mints.

Happy Anniversary Mom, Dad, Susan and Bud.  Ben and I are quite thankful that you opted to get married on this weekend 39 years ago!!
