Wow what a 2 weeks!!
2 year birthday & Easter!!
Sorry it took so long, for some reason my photo uploader for the blog was crazy slow!!!

I was waiting to blog about the birthday festivities until
they were finished on Thursday but then we were into Easter, so might as well
do one big huge post!
I really can’t believe my munchkin is 2, and she just doesn’t
look like a baby anymore. She is full on
toddler now.
We will start with Birthday party weekend! I didn’t want to combine Easter and Birthday
in one weekend, and I’m glad I didn’t.
They both about did me in individually but I couldn’t imagine trying to
do them both!
We had Bean’s birthday party at the Soda Shop in town. That way no one had to cook or clean up, we
just brought cake and presents! Speaking
of cake, isn’t that just the cutest thing ever!
Oh, and in case you missed it earlier, here’s her invitation
again, super cute from etsy.com:
Family and friends at the soda shop with plenty of hot dogs,
drinks, ice cream and cake to go around!
No leaving there hungry! Mallory
had a ball opening all of her presents, hugging on the Elmo and Big Bird
Balloons and showing off in her sun glasses.
Child got tons of stuff and I’ve got to sit down and work on thank you’s!!
It was a good birthday party and I think everyone enjoyed it
and the cake was amazing! I froze what
was left in 2 big sections because there was no way I was letting it go bad!!
Everyone was ready to watch UK beat Louisville and then of
course go on to win the championship on Monday night! I care nothing about basketball until
tournament time, but it is fun to see your state in the spotlight for something
other than meth, obesity, etc.
We did manage to get Bean’s picture with the Easter
Bunny. Truthfully it hadn’t even crossed
my mind to do it but Susan, she and I were at the mall the Friday night before
her Birthday and he was walking around and Mallory had a fit to see him. Again, this strange love she has of way
oversized animals. Here’s the picture…..she
didn’t want to let go!
The rest of the week was a bit of a blur because we got a
call about our travel trailer that I had listed again for sale. Ben met with them on Monday morning, they
liked it and decided they wanted it. We
agreed on a price and they were going to drop me off a check on Tuesday and
wanted to get all the owners manuals that went along with it. I thought they were in Elkton but no, they
were in Utica. Ben was way up in IN by
this point so I had to go all the way up to Utica late Monday afternoon to get
all those manuals.
They dropped off the check on Tuesday and then picked it up
on Saturday am. Woo hoo! Quite happy it’s sold. We just were not using it, it needed to go
somewhere where they would use it. It
served it’s purpose for us well, especially when Bean was in the NICU, but
fingers crossed, we never have to go through that again!
Bean celebrated her Birthday at Tiffany's on Wednesday with cupcakes and another present! Here's some of those:
Thursday afternoon we had Bean's 2 year checkup with her new Dr in Clarksville. The only thing I was a little concerned about was that I knew she didn't have over 50 words that I understood. Bean celebrated her Birthday at Tiffany's on Wednesday with cupcakes and another present! Here's some of those:
Dr. Moore was great! They loved Mallory. She stood on the scale like a big girl. They commented that she was the only 2 year old who didn't scream when they made them stay on the scale. 26 pounds! Onto to height, 35 inches!!! I knew she was tall but dang, I didn't realize she was that tall. So she is now 81% in height, 76% in weight and 64% in head! My baby and my preemie are not itty bitty anymore. Way to catch up Bean!!! Dr Moore said she was a perfect 2 year old and even advanced!
We celebrated at Chick Fil A for dinner afterwards : )
Thursday night Tiffany and Ross came down in their
Motorhome. That made it nice since in
the house we are in right now, we really don’t have room for many more than
ourselves. They had their space and we
had ours. It was so good to get to see
them, I hadn’t seen Tiff in almost 2 years!! Bean really liked the Motorhome : )
Friday night we met up with our college friend Jarrod, who
lives in Pembroke, and his wife and kids and met them for dinner in
Clarksville. So good to get to see them
too. Jarrod only lives maybe 20 minutes
away but we just haven’t been able to get together since we moved back. We tried to take a few pictures, but none
really wanted to take for some reason!
Saturday was crazy.
Ross and Ben had gone to Utica to meet the people to buy the travel
trailer and Tiff, Bean and I were going to head to Opry Mills since it has
opened again and then meet a preemie mom friend at Cheekwood for the Easter Egg
hunt.
Well, Ben got to Utica and forgot the key to the hitch lock
on the camper. So in a fuming rampage I
made my way up to Utica to give him the key and THEN drive down to
Nashville. Needless to say there was no
time for Opry Mills, we got to Cheekwood about 10 minutes before our scheduled
meet up time with Becca, Brad and their daughter Hannah. Hannah was born about 2 weeks before
Mallory.
Does Bean not look just like Dad there!!!
Regardless, we had a good time at Cheekwood and took a lot
of pictures.
Saturday night Mindi, another friend from college who lives
in Paducah, came over to see Tiffany and Ross as well. We grilled out and just had a good time.
Finally got to bed and then Sunday morning got Tiffany and
Ross on their way back to OH, made the mad dash to church and then got Ben
packed and headed off to Iowa. Bean and
I spent the afternoon at mom and dad’s.
I relaxed in the Hot Tub and we had dinner and then Bean and I were in bed
by 7:40 pm!
Needless to say it was a crazy Easter Day, but here's a few pictures!
